School-Enterprise Cooperation and Exchanges Conducted between China Coal Technology and Engineering Group and Kuzbass State Technical University of Russia

Recently, the technical teams from secondary enterprises affiliated with China Coal Technology and Engineering Group(hereinafter referred to as ”CCTEG”), such as CCTEGIEC, Xi'an Research Institute, Taiyuan Research Institute, and Beijing Huayu Engineering Company, visited and surveyed Kuzbass State Technical University of Russia. The aim was to explore the cooperation model of scientific and technological innovation between Chinese and Russian universities and enterprises in the coal field and share research results.

During the survey, the Vice President of Kuzbass State Technical University, Merkuryev Vladimir Vladimirovich, introduced the history, discipline settings, international cooperation, and scientific research achievements of the university in detail. He hoped to visit the manufacturing enterprises of CCTEG for on-site inspections to enhance communication and exchanges. The technical team of CCTEG introduced the latest scientific and technological innovation achievements and core businesses around ten major technologies and equipment involving the entire coal industry chain, such as coal mining, tunneling, and coal washing. They also had in-depth discussions with the university on some key scientific research projects and talent cultivation. After the meeting, accompanied by the dean of the School of Mining Engineering of Kuzbass State Technical University, the team of the CCTEG visited the campus vehicle exhibition center, hydraulic simulation control laboratory, and intelligent digital center. The two sides reached multiple consensuses on specific cooperation matters, hoping to jointly build a platform for the international cooperation and exchange of science and technology, strengthen technological innovation and achievement transformation in coal technical research and development and equipment manufacturing, establish an efficient liaison mechanism, and promote high-quality international school-enterprise cooperation.

This visit to Kuzbass State Technical University of Russia is the first time CCTEG has organized a team to communicate with Russian schools and enterprises. It is an important measure for CCTEG to further its "internationalization" development. It not only deepens the friendship and cooperation between CCTEG and Kuzbass State Technical University of Russia  but also provides new ideas and directions for CCTEG to conduct technical research and application and international talent cultivation in Russia.

In the future, CCTEG will give full play to its comprehensive technical advantages in the entire coal industry chain, continue to put more efforts into opening up and cooperation, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with overseas universities guided by scientific and technological innovation, and share the experience and achievements of the development of China's coal industry.

Brief Introduction to Kuzbass State Technical University: Kuzbass State Technical University, founded in 1950, is a key university directly under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, with its predecessor being the Kemerovo Mining Institute. It is a high-level research university and an important base for talent cultivation and scientific research in the Russian energy industry. Currently, more than 30% of the senior management personnel among the major mining and energy enterprises in Russia are graduates of Kuzbass State Technical University. In the 2020 Forbes World University Rankings, the university was rated as one of the 100 best universities in Russia and ranked 16th among 136 Russian science and engineering universities. Kuzbass State Technical University has launched joint master's and doctoral training programs with many domestic universities. Currently, 23 Chinese overseas students are studying there in total.
