Since the convening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China Coal Technology and Engineering Group (hereinafter referred to as CCTEG) has been earnestly fulfilling the “the Belt and Road” Initiative. Upholding the principles of centering on science and technology, basing on talent, orienting towards the market, and focusing on the customer, CCTEG has vigorously propelled the progress of “collectivization, specialization, regionalization, and internationalization.” Relying on its advanced coal technology and equipment, CCTEG has been dedicated to exploring the international market, forging its brand with wisdom and assiduous efforts.

Under the framework of the Forum on China - Africa Cooperation and the joint construction of the “the Belt and Road,” CCTEG has actively participated in the African market, explored cooperation prospects with African countries, and strived to boost the development of African energy, economy, and society. It has also provided strategies and solutions for building a high - level China - Africa community with a shared future.

Recently, at the invitation of the embassies of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in China, the International Engineering Company of CCTEG, the International Branch of Tiandi Science and Technology, and the Financial Leasing Company of CCTEG formed a delegation to conduct research, investigation, and exchanges in Tanzania and Ethiopia. They participated in the “Lighting up the Villages” project under the China - Africa friendly cooperation project, carried out a series of business investigations and research exchanges. They attended the presidential welcome ceremony of the “New Era of Tanzania - China Cooperation” held in Beijing, visited the Ethiopian embassy in China, and established a regular interactive mechanism with the Ethiopia - China and Tanzania - China Friendship and Cooperation Committees, thereby continuously deepening and stabilizing the cooperation in the coal industry between China and Africa.

The “Lighting up the Villages” project is a rural - oriented and people - benefiting project with a scale of up to 10 billion US dollars jointly launched by the Ethiopia - China, Kenya - China, and Tanzania - China Friendship and Cooperation Committees and national ministries (such as the Energy Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, Mining Ministry, and Trade Ministry) of various countries. As a representative enterprise of the “Procurement Consortium” and “Service Consortium,” CCTEG was invited to engage in high - level business activities including the Tanzania - China and Ethiopia - China business forums, mining forums, trade and investment forums. During these activities, CCTEG had in - depth exchanges with government agencies and enterprises in the two countries, including foreign ministries, national investment commissions, mining ministries, energy ministries, investment promotion agencies, trade and industry ministries, and national mining companies. The delegation also visited and investigated local national - level economic industrial zones.

During the business exchange activities, the research group of CCTEG made meticulous preparations and engaged in in - depth exchanges and discussions, reaching multiple consensuses with the African side. Moreover, CCTEG elaborately introduced to the participating government agencies and Chinese international enterprises its advanced technology and equipment in the mining field, as well as the practices of international cooperation projects in countries along the “the Belt and Road.” It also put forward professional suggestions regarding the construction of coal, gold, copper, and potash mines. Furthermore, CCTEG reached consensuses with the industry ministries of the two countries in terms of national coal mining planning, coalfield design and mine construction, process and equipment optimization, and the elevation of the overall mechanization level of the African coal industry.

Through this business investigation and series of exchange activities, CCTEG has obtained a more lucid understanding of the overall trend, social economy, industrial status quo, investment environment, and coal energy demand of the African coal market. It has also actively promoted China's coal mining technology, equipment manufacturing, and energy services to the African market, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent establishment of a cooperation framework in the coal industry between China and Africa, the promotion of mature project cooperation, and the enhancement of CCTEG's influence and popularity in the African mining field.

In the future, CCTEG will provide high - end, green, intelligent, and sustainable coal energy solutions for the African region with a more open mindset and more practical measures. It will drive the development of African energy and economy, accelerate the improvement of Africa's industrialization process, and contribute to the common dream of China - Africa modernization.
